How much can a Jeep Grand Cherokee tow, and can you flat tow one?
Properly equipped with the Trailer-Tow Package, a 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee tows up to 6,200 lbs with either engine, which Jeep calls best in class; the package is standard on the Trailhawk and Summit, and without it Jeep's spec sheets list 3,500 lbs. Payload runs from 1,160 lbs on a Summit 4x4 to 1,280 lbs on a Laredo 4x2. Jeep also says the 2027 Grand Cherokee can be flat towed when properly equipped; check the owner's manual first and use a reliable braking setup.
Grand Cherokee Limited vs Altitude: which is better?
The Limited is the better-equipped of the two on Jeep's 2027 spec sheets. Both use the 324-horsepower Hurricane turbo four and the 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 Nav screen, but the Limited moves up to 20-inch wheels, Capri leatherette seats, driver memory, LED fog lamps and Alpine audio with 10 speakers, against 18-inch wheels, simulated suede and leatherette seats and 6 speakers on the Laredo Altitude.
